Early bird registration extended to 8 March 2020
The current bushfires throughout Australia are having a significant impact across large parts of the country. We know that many of our Australian colleagues are assisting with the immediate fire response or preparing and protecting their homes and botanic gardens from the threat of fires. It is a truly devastating time.
As a result of the fires, we have decided to extend the deadlines for the submission of abstracts and early bird registrations for the conference. We hope that these extensions will provide some space for our Australian colleagues to reengage with the conference once the immediate fire threats have passed.
The new dates are provided below:
Call for abstracts close – 27 January 2020
Author Notification – 17 February 2020
Early bird registration close – 8 March 2020
With more than 12 million acres of land already burnt and the lives of 22 people and 500 million animals lost, our brave emergency service personnel are still bracing for the remainder of summer, with high temperatures set to continue. If you would like to support the brave men and women on the frontline, please donate via this secure fund set up by conference managers, Arinex. All monies raised will be directly donated to the NSW Rural Fire Service Authority (RFSA), helping supply the organisation with vital resources to fight the fires and support the volunteers who have given up their time to fight this crisis. Anything you can give is much appreciated – please click here.
